Alcantara around titanium: why the material matters
The matte titanium back of the iPhone 15 Pro Max is susceptible to micro-scratches during daily contact with hard surfaces. Alcantara forms a direct buffer between the titanium housing and the outside world. The soft inner lining of every Alcantara casedoes not touch the surface with hard edges or plastic, even after months of daily insertion and removal.
The iPhone 15 Pro Max is the heaviest model in the 15 series. With daily one-handed use, grip is a functional requirement. Afterward, check that the cutouts for the camera system, the USB-C port, the Action Button, and the other buttons are correctly aligned.
